Thermal Detonator

The thermal detonator, or TD for short, is a highly volatile grenade available to the Bounty Hunter class. It possesses one type of explosive function: a strong blast that vaporizes anything within its range.

Level 1: The Bounty Hunter receives one thermal detonator.

Gameplay Tips

• The primary function of the thermal detonator acts much like the Pulse Grenade of the ARC Trooper. Pressing and holding the primary fire key while the thermal is selected will result in the thermal being charged. The longer the thermal is charged, the greater the distance thrown becomes. Once the thermal is launched, it only takes a few seconds to detonate.
• Also like the Frag Grenade and Pulse Grenade, the primary fire function allows the explosive to bounce off walls and other objects quite well; this realistic interaction offers a significant advantage to utilizing thermals around corners.
• Be wary of throwing explosives when a Force user is ready to Push it back at your team.
• There is an achievement for killing 5 people at the same time with one Thermal Detonator.
• If someone yells "TD" in chat, run away!
• If you're a Jedi push it back, and if a Jedi does, a Sith should return the favor.
