Stagger
Overview
Stagger is what occurs when a shot hits a Jedi/Sith's saber and takes the Jedi/Sith to 0 FP (Force Points). The saberist's arm is swung backwards, leaving him vulnerable to blaster fire and unable to swing his saber for some time. FP will regenerate as normal.
Gameplay Tips
As a Gunner who caused a Saberist to Stagger
While playing as a gunner, if you see an enemy saberist stagger, you should:
—Run. The saberist has no FP (Force Points) to push you over if you run, so use this as an opportunity to gain some room from your enemy.
—Aim. The saberist isn't dead until he becomes a number on the scoreboard, so keep your focus. Dying to a saberist who had 0 FP makes you look like an idiot, so pay attention!
—Kill him fast. If you give him time to take cover, he could regenerate his FP behind a corner and turn the tables yet again.
—He won't have any FP to push grenades or rockets. If you want to get it over with, let them loose on the saberist.
As a Saberist who was forced to Stagger
While playing as a saberist, if you were forced to stagger, or have low FP anyways, you should:
—Run. Find cover where you can hide to regenerate FP, preferably in a tight spot where your enemy won't have much room to move around.
—Dodge. Jump, wallrun, crouch, whatever you need to do to not get hit. FP is precious, and getting shot will drain FP as well as HP.
—If you know that teammates are on the way, and you have Jump 3, wallrun vertically. This takes no FP to do, the gunner will rarely hit you, and this can buy some time for teammates to bail you out.
—Don't be afraid of dying. Sometimes the best strategy is to charge your opponent while spamming A-D-A-D-A-D (moving left and right, changing time between each key press). Plus, it's always satisfying to watch someone get killed by a saberist who had no FP.
