Q3
Overview
Q3 (Quad 3) is an ability that allows saberists to block blaster shots while swinging. In exchange, they are unable to buy Push or Pull 3 to knock a gunner over (given that he's running). It is characterized by different looking defense stances and overall higher FP (Force Point) drain for blocking shots.
Requirements for Q3
In order to have this ability, one must buy four skills (hence the quad) and upgrade them to rank 3 (hence the 3). But not just any skills. The following must be upgraded to Rank 3 in order to have Q3.
—Force Sense
—Saber Attack
—Saber Defense
—Force Block
You may now use the remaining points left over from upgrading these abilities to Rank 3 to upgrade other abilities.
Gameplay Tips
—A Q3 saberist defending an objective is deadly, because any shots going at him are deflected, and in most Objectives there is very little room for the gunner to move around.
—Since Q3 gives you Saber Attack 3 and Saber Defense 3, you can use a saber staff or dual wield sabers, OR red saber style.
—Getting Pull 2 makes you very formidable in a 1v1 confrontation. When the enemy gunner sees you have Q3 and starts running,(knowing that Q3 users can't knock people down with force powers), pull his gun and he's helpless. Keep in mind that a Pull 2 Q3 build has no Push, and thus leaves you vulnerable to rockets and grenades, as well as keeping you from supporting your team.
