Commonly Used Terms

Since chatting in FPSs gets you killed, a large number of abbreviations have been developed to make chatting easier/faster. For players who have never seen any of these before, it can be confusing to see the numerous shorthand comments being used. Below is a list of some of the more common ones in use today.

- QQ, qq = cry, as in telling someone to cry about it
- wtf = what the feck
- ftw = for the win
- ftl = for the loss
- afaik = as far as I know
- QFT = quoted for truth, quite frankly true
- tbh = to be honest
- jka = Jedi Academy (the game itself)
- basejka = The unmodded JKA.
- tk = teamkill (killing teammates)
- stfu = shut the feck up
- cc = Coruscant Chase (or Cloud City), Control Center on Corellia.
- dotf = Duel of the fates
- mando = Mandalorian
- bh = Bounty Hunter
- q3 = Quad 3 (attack defense)
- d3 = Jedi/Sith Saber Deflect 3
- t3 = B17 term for q3
- p3 = Pistol 3
- m5 = Westar M5
- proj = Projectile Rifle
- ruptor = Tenloss Disruptor Rifle
- blob(s) = explosive rounds
- wb = welcome back OR wrist blaster, a Mandalorian gadget
- ty = thank you
- tjunc = tjunction (dotf only)
- imp = imperial
- reb = rebels
- fed = federation room (dotf only)
- qt = quick throw
- godcaster = Bowcaster
- fp = force points
- ds = Death Star (usually referring to the map)
- idr = Increased Drain Range
- deka = droideka
- sold = soldier
- et = elite trooper aka Commander
- mt = Mind Trick
- wh = wall hack
- kt = kill tracker
- ks = killsteal
- hs = headshot
- td = Thermal Detonator
- cw = Catwalk (dotf only), clanwar
- gen = Generator Room (several maps)
- sniper = Bounty Hunter or Hero with Projectile Rifles or a Disruptor Rifle
- gg = Good game
- gf = Good fight
- ns = Nice shot!
- glowstick = Lightsaber
- obj = objective
