MovieBattles II currently uses over 170 player models and skins, 40 melee weapons (including lightsaber hilts) and over 30 different gun models. The majority of these were created by talented artists throughout the entire Jedi Knight: Jedi Order and Jedi Academy community.
With some exceptions, a typical MovieBattlesII player model has 3.000-6.000 polygons, with textures at 512x512 or 1024x1024 pixels.
A typical gun has about 1.000 polygons and a hilt usually not more than around 500.
Each model comes at minimum with a mb2_icon_??? image file (commonly .jpg or .png) to specify the ingame icon, a .skin file, to specify the textures in use, and a sounds.cfg, to specify the location of taunts, pain-sounds, etc.
All models in MB2 also use OJP[1] holstering, either defined by a model- or skin-specific holster.cfg in the models respective folder, or the common holster.cfg (found in MBModels0.pk3, inside /models/players/).
Furthermore, MB2 allows to configure the hit effects of blasters and melee weapons via gore.cfg, enabling the skinner/modeler to let his creation bleed green blood or lose droplets of oil and display metal sparks when hit.
