Blasters now play a more profound role - there are only few classes who do not use Blaster-technology. Just like in the movies coordinated fire can simply shoot down a Jedi/Sith Warrior. Utilizing the Progressive Item/Weaponry System you can upgrade your E-11 Blaster to be a high-end killing machine. But its use has changed along...
Your accuracy now depends on your movement. For the best accuracy, stand still or crouch. Running makes your aim less accurate and combining running with jumping gives you the worst aim you can get. The accuracy of your aim also depends on the weapon you use - run-jumping with an E-11 is a bad idea, yet Pistol-whipping your foes while jetpacking grants you a very nice aim. Learn to use each individual weapon well.
The white bar in the lower-right corner of your HUD depicts your clip. The clip is the amount of "bullets" in your weapon. If there are no bullets in your clip you cannot fire anymore. The clip slowly regenerates by itself but of course you can also reload manually (by using your "Reload"-button).
The number below that bar shows how much ammo you have left outside your weapon's clip in your ammo-pack. It decreases if "bullets" are being transferred to your clip. As a consequence, you might have 0 ammo in your ammo-pack but still have some left in your clip to fire.
The "Reload"-button can be set in the Controls -> Weapons submenu (in-game). Reloading quickly transfers bullets from your ammo-pack to your clip. If you have no ammo left in your ammo-pack, you cannot reload your weapon. There are no pick-ups around the map, so do not waste your ammo.
The drawback of manual reloading is that you can neither switch weapons nor stop reloading while doing it, you produce a lot of noise and are an easy target in the open. Do not reload at the wrong time...
Additionally, some weapons have different modes that they can use by pressing the Weapon Mode key, allowing them further uses to destroy the opposition.
